At first glance it seems to be very friendly. But for newcomers not from certain neighborhoods in the States or not fitting the mold its less so. Precovid we could go to shul and no greetings or handshakes offered. After 6 years here we no longer try...we still don't feel part of the community. After surgery nobody offered help or a kind word... its like not being in the "in crowd" in high school.
Much more modern orthodox than what we hoped for, less dati leumi / torani than we wanted.
Many shiurim and volunteer opportunities for women who do not work, but for those few who do not so much.
Great place for kids to make friends, but for adults it can be lonely.
