It’s chill, colourful , hippy, open minded, cutest second hand shops, friendly beautiful people, vast fields by my door step, alternative lifestyle and schooling options, small town vibe with all the amenities. It’s really the perfect place for me and my family!

This old Israeli town is now a fast-growing city of 44k people, but somehow retains the feeling of a yishuv. It is an alternative haven for the spiritually-minded, as well as being vegan, organic, and GF-friendly.
Accepting, diverse and inclusive, the people are friendly and 'community' sits center stage, even as we evolve into city-status. Aesthetically, it's a mix of old-new Israel, with crumbling old agricultural homes sitting next to brand-new, 15 floor high-rises. The population is also a mix of old-new Israel. We roll with the punches: the roads may be sandy and pot-holed, but we have the best 'bouji chic' bakeries in Israel at our fingertips. A walk through the fields could bring you past old, abandoned buildings where horses roam freely, as well as to a shiny new shopping center or the latest trendy cafe. Pardes Chana-Karkur has character, and heaps of it.
Being a part of the Israeli 'Five Towns' (Binyamina, Caesarea, Ohr Akiva, Pardes Chana-Karkur, Zichron Yaakov) is a massive bonus! Residents reap the benefit of access to the facilities, healthcare, shops and (let us not underestimate the power of good sushi...) the FOOD in all of these wonderful towns, just a hop-skip away. For post-Corona times, may they come soon, there are movie theatre complexes in both Zichron Yaakov ( and Hadera (Cinema City).
Lastly, the sweet, ever-growing, welcoming English-speaking community numbers approx. 300 and we are spread among different neighborhoods, all across town. For a more religious scene, the central Bet Knesset HaGadol, Neve Asher, Yefe Nof & Neve Pardesim all have active religious communities and synagogues. There is an active Welcome Committee for English-speakers, so be in touch if you're thinking of moving out here!
